What are C2PA Content Credentials?
C2PA (Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity) “Content Credentials” are cryptographically signed metadata embedded directly inside an image. They record where a file came from and how it was edited. AI generators — Adobe Firefly, OpenAI DALL·E, Microsoft Designer, Google and others — attach a C2PA manifest that flags the image as AI-generated, and many cameras now add one too.
This tool scans your file for that manifest, shows you who signed it and which tool produced it, and removes it on request — losslessly, without re-compressing your pixels.

Does this remove the “AI generated” Content Credentials from an image?
Yes. The cleaner strips the embedded C2PA manifest out of JPG, PNG and WebP files, so the downloaded copy no longer carries Content Credentials. Removal is lossless — the image pixels are not re-compressed.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. Detection and removal happen entirely in your browser using local JavaScript. Your image never leaves your device, so the process is 100% private.
What else can it remove besides C2PA?
